Tennis Racquet Waussie’s Space Adventure

I’m Tennis Racquet Waussie
Felt a great big CLUNK –
Just got hit between the eyes
All my strings went PLUNK!

Tennis Racquet Waussie’s strings get plunked while playing tennis with Beachball Waussie and Spaceman Waussie. They’re sticking out all over his face. Spaceman Waussie offers him his space helmet; he rests in Spaceman Waussie’s spaceship … and falls asleep.

Suddenly, he looks outside. He hears a strange whirring sound. It feels like he’s moving. “GET ME OUT OF HERE,” he yells. When he lands on a crater in space, he’s met by the Boopas; little green, red and yellow characters from Boopaland. The Boopas float and play boopa ball with their boopa bats, which come out of their heads. They teach Tennis Racquet Waussie to play boopa ball, and he soon forgets all about his plunked strings.

Boomerang Waussie arrives in Boopaland with Beachball Waussie holding onto his leg. He takes them all for a spin amongst the stars, before they return to earth. One of the Boopas has stowed away in the spaceship, and a boopa bat falls onto the ground, where Icecream Waussie discovers it. A warm relationship begins with the Waussies and the Boopas.
